Mitchell contributes significantly to promoting a change of attitude toward
venomous snakes and other 'less well-loved' fauna. Through his association with
the WA Gould League, Mitch has undertaken several seminars and presentations to
community members, particularly school groups. If requested, Mitch will also take the opportunity share his experiences with young people in an effort to motivate them to pursue the ultimate 'life goal' of turning you hobby or dream into a career. In 2005, Mitch presented a series of seminars to teenagers as part of the Wild Sciences festival, hosted by the WA Gould League, in the heartland of tiger snake country at Herdsman Lake, Western Australia.  Validus also contributes to the community in other ways, such as sponsoring touch rugby team in the Pilbara town of Newman, W.A.
