Training Client personnel to safely remove nuisance snakes from the workplace is a tremendously rewarding service Validus Group is delighted to provide.

Employers have a duty of care under the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 to “..so far as is practicable, provide and maintain a working environment in which that employer’s employees are not exposed to hazards..”. Where a hazard exists, employees must be protected.

To reduce the hazards associated with snakes in the work place, employers must provide training to assist their personnel in dealing with nuisance snakes.

Venomous Snake Relocation Training can be conducted as a one (1) or two (2) day course. Trainees engage in up to fourteen (14) contact hours learning about snakes and handling non-venomous and venomous snakes. The training course starts with a broad overview and appreciation of the biology of these truly amazing reptiles. This is immediately followed by familiarisation with live snakes and then handling techniques.

On many previous occasions, trainees who were struggling to enter the same room as a snake at the beginning of the course are capturing and relocating venomous snakes, including Mulga Snakes and Tiger Snakes, by the end of the course. This is continuous testimony to our considered approach to training and the way in which our Trainers can imbue others with an admiration and respect for some of the world’s most venomous creatures.

Bookings are very limited, so book early. Don't wait for the SPRING rush..........the snakes won't.

"Dear Dr Ladyman
I would like to thank you for the training you conducted onsite in Newman on 6th and 7th November for the MPDJV. I attended the course and found it very insightful, informative and educational. I didn't think I would ever get over my fear of snakes, but thanks to your patience and excellent training I have conquered it.
Once again, thank you.
Trissi"

"G’day Mitch…I did your snake handling/relocation course a couple of weeks back at Kurra Village in Newman. Your course was the most interesting and useful thing I’ve done in my few years up here and I’ve done every bloody thing going. I found it fascinating and the creatures themselves are just plain beautiful…even the venomous ones. It will give me great pleasure to be able to catch and relocate them, should the need arise, and spare them from being clobbered or worse by some knucklehead. And we have no shortage of them here, knuckleheads, that is..
